134th Nebraska National Guard in WWII
                            
        (Men of the Seward Area)

        " The 134th was mobilized for World War II Dec. 23, 1940. As part of the 35th Infantry Division it saw fierce action in Europe, fighting its way from the Normandy coast across France and well into Germany by V-E Day.

        The Regiment participated in the battles at St. Lo, Mortain and Nancy, France, and at the Battle of the Bulge and the Ruhr Pocket."
